How to Reset Twitch Stream Key

Today (October 6, 2021) there was a Twitch data breach, and creators around the world are doing what they can to maintain the safety and security of their accounts.

It's a good reminder that practicing good security is something all creators should do. Don't reuse passwords, login information, etc.

A good tip for staying secure is to also reset your Twitch stream key. If you don't know what it is, it's the key you put in Streamlabs or OBS to connect to your Twitch account.

In this post, we'll take a look at how you can reset your stream key on Twitch.

1. Go to your Creator Dashboard
2. Go to your Settings
3. Go to Stream Settings
4. Under your Stream Key Preferences, press Reset beside Primary Stream Key
5. Copy and paste your new key into the broadcast software you use
6. That's it!
