How to Change Your Twitch Username

How to Change Your Twitch Username

Everyone at some point has had a username they want to change. Maybe you made a username for fun, and then just recently started streaming and feel like your username isn't the best for your brand.

In this post, we'll take a look at how you can change your Twitch username. It's worth nothing that you can change your username once every 60 days, so make sure the name you pick is one you can see yourself sticking with for a while.

Start by signing in to your Twitch account and heading to your Settings. Click on your username in the top-right corner and then select the Settings option from the drop-down menu.

From there, head to Profile Settings and locate the Username and Display Name sections. Here you can also change your Bio if that's something you want to do.

As soon as you save your Profile Settings, your Username will be changed immediately.

Once you've changed your username, your old username will be held for you for a minimum of about 6 months. After that, it'll go back into Twitch's system and become available for anyone to use. So make sure you like your new username!

So in summary, here's how you change your username on Twitch.

  1. Log in to your Twitch account
  2. Go to your Settings page
  3. Head to Profile Settings
  4. Locate your Username and Display Name sections
  5. Change your Username

And that's it!
