Having a stream that is accessible to all is an important way to continue to grow and reach new audiences.
A big part of that is adding closed captions, or, subtitles to your stream.
In this post, we'll take a look at how you can add subtitles to your Twitch stream.
The quickest and most straightforward way to get started with subtitles on your Twitch stream is by adding an existing extension from Twitch.
Just head over to your Creator Dashboard, then to the Extensions page. From there, search for "closed captions" to see the extensions that are available for use.
What extension you choose to use is entirely up to you, but it's a good idea to try a few out until you find one that you like.
If you don't want to use a Twitch extension, you can also use a third party tool that is integrated directly with OBS.
You can use something like PubNub's OBS integration. It captures your voice transcript and sends the subtitles into OBS via PubNub.
